Veterans day was just a couple days ago.
I was sitting around today thinking about our Veterans when a song from long ago popped into my head.
Perhaps a lot of you youngsters out there have not heard it before. (In this case a youngster is anyone younger than I)
Even though a couple days late I thought you might like it.
The name of it is...
"Where Have All the Flowers Gone?" it is a folk song written by Pete Seeger in 1955.
We should remember our Veterans, past and present, every day as they are the ones who have, or are, puting their lives on the line for the sake of all of U.S.
Just Say'n
Enjoy...
WHERE HAVE ALL THE FLOWERS GONE
words and music by Pete Seeger
performed by Pete Seeger and Tao Rodriguez-Seeger
Where have all the flowers gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the flowers gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the flowers gone?
Girls have picked them every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?
Where have all the young girls gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the young girls gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the young girls gone?
Taken husbands every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?
Where have all the young men gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the young men gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the young men gone?
Gone for soldiers every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?
Where have all the soldiers gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the soldiers gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the soldiers gone?
Gone to graveyards every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?
Where have all the graveyards gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the graveyards gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the graveyards gone?
Covered with flowers every one
When will we ever learn?
When will we ever learn?
